Radical ABA Services

What is this radical ABA we speak of?

ABA services at a glance

ABA (or Applied Behavior Analysis) is a scientifically validated approach to decreasing certain behaviors, and increasing other behaviors. For example, we can decrease when a child screams, and replace that with functional language.

Why is our approach considered radical?

In typical ABA approaches, a behavior analyst (or behavioral therapist) will create individualized protocols based solely on what can be seen (behaviors). However, we take in to account the emotional state of the individual we work with. For example, instead of only using our procedures to decrease tantrums when they occur, we take in to account the child may be hungry, or maybe a parent was recently deployed, or any other cause for a child to be upset other than just having behaviors. This approach allows us to provide services to the whole child, instead of just the child’s behaviors.

What else makes our ABA approach different?

In addition to taking the radical ABA approach, we also structure out services in the MOST beneficial way for the child. For example, instead of scheduling who is available to work with your child that day, you only have one certified behavioral analyst, with the possibility of only one registered behavior technician. You know exactly who is working with your child at all times, and no one else unless we have your approval. Additionally, you are given a thorough and comprehensive summary of every session to include: what goals were worked on, how your child did on each of those goals, how they were worked on, and any other observations or details that are pertinent to the parents or caregivers. Furthermore, we are firm believers that learning should be customized to the learner, and should be fun above all else. We love learning and we love helping others learn in the way that’s best for them. Therefore, we don’t only work on goals at the table or believe each session should be structured to a schedule. We take each session as an individual learning opportunity and offer our learners a voice in how they learn, regardless of the skill level.

How our ABA services are provided

In-Home

We believe the most applicable learning setting is where the learner is the most, where the behaviors are happening, and highly encourage parent involvement. By having in-home sessions, a registered or certified behavior therapist will go to your house and provide services there. This allows for constant parent/caregiver collaboration and observation.

Community

Although insurance puts multiple stipulations on locations of services, we offer community services if the family desires this setting and insurance allows it (if that is your funding source). This allows us to further target multiple skill areas such as: grocery shopping, dentist appointments, hair appointments, etc.

Clinic

For individuals that require a clinic setting for their specific goals, we have that too! This setting is best for individuals who need help with social skills, have behaviors that are considered unsafe for the home environment, or any other reason where a clinic setting is the best learning setting for the learner.

Schools

If insurance is your funding source and there are restrictions on this setting, we will work to the ends of the earth with you to get your family what they need, to the absolute best of our ability. However, many children struggle with the school setting as there are an unlimited additional challenges. We will go where we are needed for the best success of the learner.

How to fund our radical ABA services

We offer multiple methods of payment, however specific payments will need to be determined on a case-by-case basis, dependant upon type of insurance plan, any secondary insurance policies, etc.

Insurance

We are credentialed with Tricare, and work on a case by case basis with BCBS, Aetna, Optum, Cigna, United, or any other insurance policy.

Private Pay

For those who wish to avoid the insurance limitations on the type of care their family can receive, we offer private pay options.

Scholarships/Grants

Although it is rare for our area, scholarships and grants are helpful methods for funding ABA services. If you don’t currently have one, we are more than happy to help you find one.
