Tutoring and Life Skills

What our tutoring and life skills classes look like

How to start

Contact our office in whatever way is best for you and let us know you’re interested in signing your child up for one of our classes! We can schedule a time that is best for you to come in for an initial meeting to review your concerns and create your child’s plan. We can help your child improve on skills such as: problem solving, self-advocating, meal planning and grocery shopping, managing and modifying a schedule, budgeting money, etc. During this meeting, we also create your child’s class schedule!

Get a specialized experience

During these individualized classes, your child will engage in a unique learning experience unlike any other. Behavioral analysts offer teaching techniques that are based off decades of scientifically validated research. We also create personalized programs that focus on making learning fun, instead of typical methods that focus on worksheets and lectures. Furthermore, these classes can teach skills that insurance puts restrictions on. This offers a full array of skills without limitations on your child’s learning, and allow them to thrive during the process.

Go at your own pace

Create a class schedule that fits for you, and only sign up for classes as you want. We offer a completely customized process. There are no contracts, no obligations, and the only expectation is for there to be an observable improvement within just a few weeks. We can also help advocate for your child in IEP/504 meetings if desired.

Everyone’s question, what’s the cost?

If cost is an issue, please let us know. We will do everything we can to get you what you need!

Per half hour
$65/BCBA
$40/RBT

If you just need a little help here and there, purchasing half hour classes at a time may be best for you. This class allows for a short time for arrival/transition, working on 2 - 3 skills for about 5 - 7 minutes each, and a preferred activity for a short time at the conclusion of the class.

Per hour
$125/BCBA
$75/RBT

If your child needs more focused help in a few skills, purchasing an hour class at a time allows for a short time for arrival/transition, working on 3 - 5 skills for 10 - 15 minutes each or 6 - 8 skills for about 5 - 7 minutes each, followed by a preferred activity for a short time at the end of the class.

four half hour lessons
$240/BCBA
$150/RBT

This option is best for people who want to work on a few skills for a short time. This package would be recommended for parents/caregivers who want to work on skills like: tying shoes, basic hygiene skills, dressing skills, preparing certain meals, etc.

10 1-hour lessons
$1,200/BCBA
$750/RBT

This package is recommended for people who want to plan for classes in bulk and plan on having regular classes once or twice a week to tackle larger and more complex skills. Some skills recommended for this package would be: meal planning and grocery shopping, budgeting money, planning an event, managing a schedule, job related skills, etc. While these skills can be taught with individual one hour classes as well, a bulk purchase is recommended to ensure frequent classes over an extended period of time for better planning and preparation. For example, with individual classes, a behavior analyst may complete trials as an entirety for each session. However, with the ability to plan for future and consistent sessions, a behavior analyst can break down the skills and focus on only teaching parts of the skill each session, allowing for a more efficient and focused style of learning.
